What’s COP 27?

COP 27 (Conference of parties) is the important global meeting of the World Nations -to address the issue of Climate change and the reduction of the temperature under 2°C in the next years.

-to inform the new generations to use renewable forms of energy.

-to help poor countries in the South of the world on the front line of the Climate Change.

- To reduce carbon and methan emissions.

This year it was held from 6th to 20nd November 2022 in Egypt at Sharm el- Sheikh under the Egyptian guide.

When was it born?

The first COP was held in March, 1995 since then COPS are held every year.

Where was it born?

The first meeting was held in Berlin, Germany but then it was held in every countries of the world like: Glasgow (UK), Paris (France), Geneve (Switzerland), Kyoto (Japan), Buenos Aires (Argentina) etc...

How many countries do participate to this meeting?

197 countries from all over the world have participated to the meeting this year.

What have they decided?

They have decided

- to create a Loss & Damage fund to pay the Climate crisis losts and damages .

- A lot of countries did not want to stop using the fossil fuels.
